After participating in a chilly Thursday evening practice that included workout phases with the Conquerants American Football Club in Caen France, AFW ELITE returned to the practice and the training facility made available by France’s Department of Sports. An early afternoon pre-game workout was another step forward in the challenge to put together a cohesive and effective game plan for the following day.
On Friday evening, the team enjoyed their final moments in Old Paris as there was some free time to grab one more crepe and do a little shopping. The evening included a dinner with family members then a group cruise on the Seine River as tour members saw the City of Lights from a unique perspective. The night had a magical air as the Eiffel Tower sparkled with it’s beautiful light show.
The team returned to their accommodations and focused in for their upcoming contest. A good night of rest and some morning meetings were all that remained before the 2PM kickoff (Paris time). The contest against France’s U19 national team is expected to be a close and competitive one and all the players look forward to representing their communities and their country to the very best of their abilities.
God Bless America!
