Billy Lynch is a graduate of Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois. As a college student-athlete his team travelled to the Czech Republic and Austria culminating their journey competing in the Charity Bowl against the Vienna Vikings. In the spring of his sophomore year he used the additional spring practice time to improve his skills and in his first collegiate start in Vienna, Austria picked off 3 passes in a dramatic win for his American collegiate team against one of the premier club teams in Europe. With the extra developmental time he solidified his place as a two-year collegiate starter.
“This trip and that game day were undoubtedly two of the greatest events of my life. Choosing a foreign competition tour exposed me to all kinds of possibilities in my life that I had not considered earlier.”Billy concluded his collegiate career and then signed a one-year contract to play football in Germany. Upon returning to the United States he worked as a college football coach and then in the front office for the Chicago Cubs.
Tim Podulka was the Offensive MVP of the Mid-Suburban League as a senior at Elk Grove HS. Now as a teacher and coach in the Chicagoland area, Tim looks back fondly on his college foreign competition tour,
