Coach Barnes instructs international players after scrimmage in AT&T Stadium

World Team players arrived on overnight flights throughout the day Sunday.  Immediately on Monday morning the ambitious and aspiring players were welcomed with their first practice.  For many this was their first trip to the United States.  After two-a-days the first three days and a morning workout on Thursday, the IFAF World Team participated in International Bowl events including a scrimmage jamboree where they worked out against the US team on Thursday night in AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

“We hung in there tonight and I believe these players earned respect.  Considering we played all 97 healthy players and had some moments with really crisp execution, moved the ball generating points a couple times and our defense came up with some stops and a couple turnovers is a real credit to the development these players have committed to these past four days.  I am proud of them and they should be proud,” noted Barnes after the scrimmage.

Players on the IFAF World Team roster come from a remarkable 25 different countries including France, Denmark, England, Spain, Serbia, Slovakia, Poland, Sweden, Italy, Netherlands, Mexico, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, Brazil, Norway, Belgium, Czech Republic, Kuwait, New Zealand, Portugal, South Korea, Canada, Croatia and China.
