American Football Worldwide assembled a squad of outstanding senior student-athlete football players who also have a sense of adventure about the world to travel to and compete against the national U19 team of France. Highlights of the trip included touring several of the icons in Paris, a boat ride at night on the Seine River through the heart of the city, a trip to the Palace of Versailles and taking in the fascinating landmarks in Normandy province including the D-Day memorials, cemeteries and museums. Football practices were conducted in-between the touring and the ambitious week concluded with an exciting 19-0 victory against the French team. View the following new story run by John Howard with the CBS affiliate in San Diego that captures the educational value, excitement and personal growth the trip presented to the travelers.
